Ajinkya Rahane was rewarded for his domestic and IPL performances with a recall to the Indian Test Team. He was also named the vice-captain for the series against West Indies.
Ahead of the first Test against West Indies, Indian vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane said that his side isn’t going to take the Windies smoothly despite their recent struggles, which also include not being suitable to secure a spot for the ICC Justice World Cup 2023, and missing out on the global cricketing circus for the first time ever. Jaiswal finished as the fifth-loftiest run arranger in IPL 2023, scoring 625 runs in 15 matches at an normal of48.07, with one century and five fifties. In his 15 first- class justice appearances, he has scored 1,845 runs at an normal of 80.21, with nine centuries and two fifties.
In the absence of Cheteshwar Pujara, Rahane said that there’s an occasion present for players to club at number three.

“I’m used to this part. I was vice-captain for 4- 5 times. I’m really happy to be back in the platoon, really happy to be back as vice-captain. I’m still youthful, still a lot of justice left in me. My IPL was good, so was my domestic justice season. presently, I’m really enjoying my justice. I don’t want to suppose much about future.
