Madrid considered bringing in the defender in the January transfer window, with Ferland Mendy set to miss several weeks with a thigh injury, but eventually decided to wait.

Real Madrid will subscribe Rayo Vallecano left- back Fran Garcia at the end of the season, trainer Carlo Ancelotti verified Wednesday.

Madrid considered bringing in the protector in the January transfer window, with Ferland Mendy set to miss several weeks with a ham injury, but ultimately decided to stay.

“It could have been an option but we allowed that Mendy’s injury could be short, ” Ancelotti told a news conference Wednesday.

“We also allowed that it would be good for Fran Garcia to stay at Rayo to keep progressing and gaining experience. ”

Rayo chairman Raul Martin Presa also verified a deal had been agreed in an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, although neither club has officially blazoned it.

“Fran Garcia will go to Real Madrid at the end of the season, we reached a deal, ” said Presa.

The Rayo chairman said Madrid’s intervention stopped Garcia subscribing for German side Bayer Leverkusen in the downtime window.

Forget about subscribing new players. Barcelona had to work just to register the bones it formerly had.

As part of a slow day for Spanish clubs at the end of the downtime transfer window, Barcelona was unfit to significantly boost its team and rather had to work to rearrange its finances and make sure it could fit some of its current players under the payment cap.

The Catalan club bettered its fiscal situation lately but still plodded to misbehave with the Spanish league’s strict fair- play rules.

Its only expedients for last- nanosecond deals reportedly involved Mexican right back Julián Araujo, the U.S. born player who plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy in the Major League Soccer, and Morocco midfielder Sofy an Amrabat from Fiorentina.

First, however, Barcelona wanted to give youthful star Gavi a first- platoon contract, and register protectors Ronald Araújo and Marcos Alonso after they renewed their deals with the club. It was suitable to get the Gavi deal done, in part thanks to the withdrawal of Gerard Piqué and the departures of Héctor Bellerín to Sporting Lisbon and Memphis Depay to Atletico Madrid, but Araújo’s and Alonso’s revamped contracts probably won’t take effect until the summer.

Spanish league chairman Javier Tebas had said Barcelona will have to save further than 200 million euros ahead of the summer transfer window, but Gavi was allowed to be registered thanks to a court ruling in favor of the Catalan club. The league said it would appeal the ruling. Getting the 18- time-old to the first platoon is pivotal for Barcelona to keep him from having the option of leaving for free in the summer.

Real Madrid is in a better situation financially, but also isn’t likely to add anyone to its team other than Brazilian teenage sensation Endrick from Palmeiras, who was inked on a deal that will see him join the club when he turns 18 in 2024. On the other hand, it wasn’t anticipated to lose any of the top players who helped it win the title holders League and the Spanish league last season.

Although Madrid has several injured full- tails, including Mendy, leaving midfielder Eduardo Camavinga playing out of position on the left wing, it agreed to stay until the end of the season before subscribing Garcia.

“The geste of Real Madrid is that of a veritably noble club, ” added Presa.

“Out of respect for Rayo and so as not to harm us, they conducted in a unmanly fashion. ”

Garcia, 23, developed at Real Madrid’s academe before moving across Madrid to Rayo in 2020 on loan, making the move endless the ensuing time. Know More Football News…
