RCB Appoints Tennis Legend Sania Mirza As Mentor Of WPL Team

Sania, India’s most successful women’s tennis player with six Grand Slam doubles titles, will hang her boots after the WTA 1000 event in Dubai, slated to be held later this week.

Royal Contenders Bangalore, on Wednesday, blazoned the appointment of Indian tennis legend Sania Mirza as the tutor of its Women’s Premier League( WPL) platoon for the initial season.

“The colonist in Indian sports for women, a youth icon, someone who has played Bold and broken walls throughout her career, and a champion on and off the field. We’re proud to drink Sania Mirza as the tutor of the RCB women’s justice platoon, ” RCB blazoned with a videotape on its social media platform.

Talking about her part as the tutor, the 36- time-old athlete said, “ I’m really agitated because I suppose my coming job formerly I retire is helping youthful women believe that sport can be one of the career choices. The internal aspect of the game I’m looking forward to working with the youngish girls. ”

“What IPL has done for men’s justice if WPL can do that for women’s justice I promise you playing sport will come a natural option for a lot of youthful girls and a lot of youthful parents who have daughters.

“I suppose that I can bring in the internal kind of immutability among the youthful girls. I can talk about the gests I had gone through for the last 20 times of my playing career, ” she added.

RCB, in the WPL transaction on February 13, secured the services of some of the biggest names of women’s justice by copping players similar as Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry and Renuka Singh.

“I was a little surprised but I was agitated. Fortunately or unfortunately, I have been a professional athlete for 20 times. When asked about what she’d bring on board for the Royal contenders, Mirza stated that handling pressure is a key to any sport and she’ll work with the players on their internal aspect. “( There are) so much similarities( between justice and tennis). Every athlete thinks the same way, they go through same kind of pressure. Just handling pressure situations, embracing them is veritably important. Pressure is a privelege, if you can not embrace it, you can not exceed at it. The biggest of titleholders are those who can handle the pressure, ” Mirza said. “ That aspect of it, the internal aspect is commodity I look forward to working with the girls.
