PBKS Vs RCB, IPL 2023: Inconsistent Bangalore Takes On Punjab Kings

Royal Challengers Bangalore, which has lost five of the last six meetings against Punjab Kings, would bank on its strong batting order to win its third match in IPL 2023.

Punjab lords will face Royal contenders Bangalore in the 27th match of IPL 2023 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on Thursday.

Then’s a look at the probable prognosticated XIs with the Impact Player rule also enabling brigades to carry two team sheets for the toss.

Shikhar Dhawan, who missed Punjab lords ’ last match due to a shoulder injury, is likely to miss the side’s Indian Premier League (IPL) institution against Royal contenders Bangalore on Thursday.

The 37- time-old passed a fitness training test in the King’s training session on the dusk of the match, and bowling trainer Charl Langeveldt said that though Dhawan is on the mend, he might not be ready for a return just yet.

“I’m not the physio. He’s on the mend. He’s doing well for his recovery. He’s feeling better, but he’s not just there yet. The process is going to take a while, ” Langeveldt said.

While Dhawan’s absence will be a huge blow for the home platoon against a star- speckled RCB, Langeveldt revealed that Liam Livingstone, who’s yet to play a game, will be available for selection.

On a fur-friendly face, Livingstone could come in handy with his power- hitting capability.

The two brigades come into the game with differing fortunes. While RCB lost a close game against Chennai Super lords, PBKS defeated Lucknow Super titans, riding on significant benefactions by Sikandar Raza, Matthew Short and Shahrukh Khan.

With commander Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli opening the innings, and Glenn Maxwell at No. 4, RCB has a strong fur lineup. Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik add depth to the middle- order.

The fur order, as strong as it may feel on paper, has been agonized by inconsistency.

Placed eighth with four points from five matches, RCB will need to fix its weak links if it wishes to stay in the quest for a playoff situation.

With Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel and Wayne Parnell around, RCB has a redoubtable fast bowling department, and Josh Hazlewood’s return after his recuperation could make it indeed more potent.

PBKS has won five of its last six jaunts against RCB, and would hope to maintain the upper hand. Know More IPL News…
