Manchester United trip to the home of bitter rivals Liverpool this weekend hopeless to avoid another demotion but with all the signs pointing to a tough autumn at Anfield. Tottenham kick off the action at floundering Nottingham Forest on Friday, while in- form Aston Villa, fresh from emotional triumphs against Manchester City and Arsenal, trip to Brentford.

Floundering Manchester United, who left Anfield last season with their tails between their legs after a 7- 0 trouncing, are facing a Liverpool platoon top of the Premier League and fat of confidence.

Erik ten Hag’s platoon, ditched out of Europe this week by Bayern Munich, have lost 12 of their 24 games in all competitions this season.

Toothless up front, pervious at the reverse and with a dragging injury list, it’s delicate to find any cons for the callers ahead of Sunday’s game.

Thanks in part to the inconsistency of the brigades around them, United still find themselves sixth in the Premier League, just three points behind Tottenham and six behind fourth- placed Manchester City.

But they will travel to Anfield full of alarm . With the exception of last season’s 2- 1 palm at Old Trafford, United’s recent record against Liverpool is dire– they’ve lost four of the once five meetings, conceding 21 pretensions in the process.

Liverpool are everything that United aren’t– sharp in front of thing, full of tone- belief and with a no way – say- die station that has helped them win 18 points from losing positions this season.

Erik Ten Hag has prompted his side to concentrate on finishing in the top four to qualify for the titleholders League coming season but if results don’t go their way this weekend, they could be nine points off fourth spot and slipping out of the picture.

The cleaner pieces at Manchester United has taken the focus off the situation at Chelsea, where Mauricio Pochettino is floundering to get a tune out of his injury- hit team.

The Blues, who host nethermost side Sheffield United on Saturday, are 12th in the table after three defeats in their once four matches, far closer in terms of points to the deportation zone than the top of the table.

Pochettino, in his first season at the club, believes Chelsea need to dip into the transfer window again in January indeed though they’ve spent further than 1 billion pounds($1.25 billion) over the once three transfer windows.

The Argentine has been dogged by absences, with captain Reece James back on the treatment table with a hamstring injury, alongside a list of other elderly players including Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana and Christopher Nkunku.

On paper, the visit of Sheffield United appears to be a golden chance for Chelsea to return to winning ways but the Blades, under recently returned Chris Wilder, beat Brentford last week for just their alternate palm of the season.

And Chelsea’s home form gives little room for stopgap– they’ve won just two of their eight league matches at Stamford Bridge.

Last month Everton were docked 10 points by the Premier League for violating fiscal rules, leaving them 19th in the table, position with Burnley, who were also nethermost.

But three straight triumphs have lifted the Goodison Park club four points above the deportation zone and they’re looking up rather than down.

Everton have won nine games out of their once 13 by all competitions and would be in mid-table were it not for their heavy discipline, against which they’ve appealed.

The Goodison Park suckers have been oral in their opposition to the inflexibility of the points deduction and the platoon have given them aplenty to cheer.

Director Sean Dyche admits he has been pleased with his side’s form but says there’s still” a lot of work to be done” as he prepares to return to Burnley, who he managed for 10 times between 2012 and 2022. Know More Latest Football News…
