Manchester City announces signing of winger Jeremy Doku

The 21-year-old Belgian signs a five-year deal at the Ettihad after joining from Ligue 1 club Rennes for a reported 55 million pounds.

Premier League champion Manchester City blazoned the signing of Belgian forward Jeremy Doku from Ligue 1 side Rennes on Thursday.

The 21- time-old will subscribe a five- time deal with the Manchester club.

Although fiscal details weren’t bared, British media reported the figure to be around the region of 55 million pounds.

Doku becomes the third signing of the transfer window for City, who before brought in Croatian brace Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol.

Doku has 14 elderly caps to his name and has operated as a winger in both sides during his time in the Belgian and the French leagues.

“This is a great day for me, both tête-à-tête and professionally, ” Doku said in a statement on the club website.
