“I’m really proud the way we played moment. Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja) did what he was supposed to do coming back after eight months down from ODIs. I enjoyed my bowling and fur, would have loved to finish it off, but the way KL (Rahul) and Jaddu maundered, it was calming to those watching from the outside, ” Pandya said after the match.

Pandya conceded India were under pressure while bowling as well as fur, but in the end the platoon’s countenance saw it through.

Mitchell Marsh’s 65- ball 81 and the quick start the callers got did put India under some stress but Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Jadeja kept dicing down with timely lattices to eventually rush out Australia for 188 in 35.4 overs.

“We were under pressure in both the innings, but we kept our countenance, and set up ways to come out of those situations. When we got the instigation our way, we didn’t let it go, ” added Pandya.

‘Player of the Match ’ Jadeja said playing ODI justice after eight months due to a knee surgery, he was only looking to get used to the format and that his performance had come as a perk.

“Playing ODI justice after eight months, I was just looking to acclimatize to the format as early as possible. Luckily I got two lattices, and with the club I was only looking to make a cooperation with KL( Rahul).

“We were playing Test justice so the line and length is different then. You can’t keep brushing one pace. I was just looking to drift in good areas. Also I was getting a little bit of turn, so I allowed

I need to drift in the right areas and the gate will do the rest, ” added Jadeja.

Losing platoon captain Steve Smith said a score in the vicinity of 260- 270 would have been par for the gate, adding that India sailed really well to gemstone their boat.

“We weren’t awaiting this when we rocked up then. India sailed well this morning, but we presumably left a many out there. Had we got 250, we’d have had some match.

“Mitch( Marsh) started really well. He took the game on early, and got a many down. Through the middle we lost a many too numerous lattices. We were always one cooperation from them beating us, and Jadeja and Rahul did that. 260- 270 was par.

“It( gate) was offering a fair bit for the cleft. The ball swung enough important throughout. We just demanded to score further runs. If we had got a cooperation and take it deeper. It wasn’t to be, and credit to India, ” lamented Smith. Know More Latest Cricket News…
