India will take on Pakistan in the 2023 men’s ODI World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 15, the International Cricket Council( ICC) blazoned on Tuesday.
Ahmedabad will also carry the event nature on October 5 between England and New Zealand, the brigades that queried the thrilling tied final in 2019. They had preliminarily disaccorded in the nature of the 1996 World Cup, also held in Ahmedabad. India is set to open its crusade against Australia in Chennai three days latterly.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the important- awaited ODI World Cup 2023 schedule on Tuesday with defending champion England taking on New Zealand in the event nature on October 5 in Ahmedabad.
The- seat capacity Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host five games, including the titanic clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan on October 15.
Ten brigades will feature in the 46- day event which will be held across 10 metropolises. Along with Ahmedabad, the other host metropolises include Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune.
While all venues will be hosting five matches each, the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad will host only three league games with Pakistan set to play two and New Zealand one.
