ENG vs AUS head-to-head in ODIs: Here are all the stats and numbers you need to know ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match between England and Australia in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Old foes England and Australia will renew their contest during the ICC Justice World Cup 2023 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

While England was lowered by host India in Lucknow on October 29 in its former game, Australia triumphed over New Zealand in a close hassle at Dharamsala on October 28.

England was tagged as a strong title contender ahead of the event but will need to master the Aussies if it needs to stay alive in the event.

England and Australia will lock cornucopias in the ICC Justice World Cup 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

The two brigades have met at the World Cup nine times since 1975, with Australia holding the literal edge over England with six triumphs. The last time the two sides met at the quadrennial showpiece, England beat the Aussies by 8 lattices.

England’s Ben Stokes on Friday conceded that “ nothing’s worked ” in a disastrous World Cup crusade.

The defending titleholders have lost five of their six matches to lie bottom of the 10- platoon table and another defeat on Saturday in Ahmedabad against arch rivals Australia will end indeed their slimmest expedients of squeezing into the semi-finals.

“I suppose the problem is that we ’ve been crap. To be honest with you, we ’ve been crap, ” Stokes said.

“Everything we ’ve tried throughout this World Cup, through trying to put pressure back onto the opposition in a way in which we know, or trying to soak up the pressure in a different way, which we know we ’ve done ahead and been successful with, it’s just not worked. ”

Stokes added “ Every occasion that we ’ve had in front of us where we feel like we can take control of the game, the opposition’s managed to get it back towards them. And we ’ve just not been suitable to put a full game together. ”

England have brushed aside any talk of an doubtful fine equation of making the final- four if they win their remaining three matches.

But a clash with five- time titleholders Australia does excite Stokes and his teammates, three months after an rancorous Ashes series ended 2- 2.

“England- Australia in any sport whenever the two nations play against each it’s always a big occasion, ” said Stokes.

He said, “ There’s always a bit more chatter when England play Australia and whatever it is. So yeah, you just see it and I understand why. It’s a bit like when India and Pakistan come and play each other. ”

After facing Australia, the defending titleholders still have to play the Netherland in Pune on November 8 and Pakistan at Kolkata on November 11.

“We ’ve had a disastrous World Cup and there’s no point sugar- coating that because it’s the verity. But we know these last three games, for us, we ’ve got a lot to play for, ” said Stokes.

“I suppose the biggest thing that we ’ve got to play for is obviously the pride of what it’s to put the three Napoleons on your casket, walking out onto the field every time is a veritably special occasion and commodity that we value veritably largely. ”

Asked on his prognostications for the eventual titleholders, Stokes picked South Africa ahead of India to lift the title in Ahmedabad on November 19. Know More Latest Cricket News…
