David Warner’s agent, James Erskine, said he didn’t believe the opener will quit Test cricket at the conclusion of the three-Test series against the Proteas at Sydney.

Australian fur stalwart David Warner has no plans to retire from Test justice, his agent has said following calls from some former players that the cricketer review his station. Warner was out for duck and scored three runs in the first Test against South Africa at Brisbane, which the hosts won by six lattices inside two days. He last scored a Test century in January 2020 and previous to the first Test against the Proteas he’d scores of 5, 48, 21 and 28 in the four innings this summer. But Warner’s agent, James Erskine, said he did not believe the nature will quit Test justice at the conclusion of the three- Test series against the Proteas at Sydney.

“No, it will not be his last Test, I do not suppose. It’s news to me if that is the case,” Erskine was quoted as saying by Sydney Morning Herald on Tuesday.

Erskine added Warner had the stint of India and the 2023 Ashes in England in his sights.

Warner will come the 14th Australian to achieve the 100- Test corner when he plays the Boxing Day Test. His normal in 10 Tests this time is lower than 21 but Erskine felt runs are round the corner for the 36- time-old.

“I tête-à-tête suppose there is runs around the corner for him. We will just see what happens. The big thing from Davey’s( Warner) point of view is that he has three youthful children.

Still, or eight months of the time, it’s brutal,” If your introductory situation is you have got to be down for nine months. That will be the decision, I suppose, depending on how he ends up.

“He has lots of other interests other than justice – but there has been no talk about that( withdrawal),” added Erskine.

Erskine felt Warner was done in by a couple of good deliveries from South African pace bowler Kagiso Rabada in the opening Test at Brisbane.

“He has had a couple of brutal balls( from Rabada). At the end of the day, everyone goes through these quiet spells. You have got to take his career across the board,” Erskine said.

Still, they say he’s a great player,” If you talk to all the great players out there. We will just have to see if he bounces back in Melbourne. He’s a enough tough nut, old David. I do not suppose that( run failure) inescapably worries him,” Erskine added.

Former Australian all- rounder Simon O’Donnell had said lately that Warner is not the Test player he used to be till about two times back and that the stalwart should conceivably retire at the end of the Sydney Test.

David Warner’s director says the floundering batter doesn’t have plans to retire in Sydney, adding that Australian pickers must consider the Test great’s full capsule before deciding whether his time is over.

James Erskine, the agent who has helped Warner negotiate the ball- tampering reproach and its fallout, said heavy- duty tenures of India and England in 2023 are still forcefully on the docket.

Still, all parties understand that significant runs are demanded when Warner becomes the 14th Australian to 100 Tests come Boxing Day, else the pickers – rather than Warner – may have no choice but to act, most probably when this series is done.

“He’s a enough tough nut, old David. I do n’t suppose that inescapably worries him, ” Erskine said.

“We’re going to meet at some stage to have a glass of beer or a glass of wine. Hopefully, I’ll get a better handle on it( Warner’s future). It was a disappointing Test for him( in Brisbane), he got one brutal ball, so it’s just one of those effects.

“The other thing is, who would you really replace him with? You ca n’t micromanage it and go from one Test match and a terrible pitch it was instigative justice to watch on TV, but it was a disaster for Cricket Australia and the game. ”

Puritanical nature Marcus Harris is a reserve batsman in the Test team but has failed to make the utmost of his openings, comprising 25 in 14 matches. He’d be Warner’s likely relief, while Matt Renshaw, who played the last of his 11 Tests in 2018, also has claims. Know More News….
