Bangladesh to host England in limited over series in March

They will begin with three one-day internationals followed by three T20 matches. All the matches will be held in Dhaka and Chattogram.

England’s rearranged stint of Bangladesh will go ahead in March 2023 with three one- day internationals and three T20 games.

The matches were firstly due to be played in September and October 2021, but were laid over because of pressures related to the COVID- 19 epidemic.

“It’s instigative that the England men’s white- ball team will return to Bangladesh, ” England and Wales Cricket Board interim principal superintendent Clare Connor said Tuesday. “ The atmosphere generated in Dhaka and Chattogram for this eagerly anticipated stint will be fantastic.

“There’s a great passion for justice across Bangladesh, and we anticipate a tough challenge against a side who have an excellent record in home conditions. ”

The stint will start with the first ODI on March 1 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka with the alternate at the same venue two days latterly.

The third match of that series will be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on March 6.

Chattogram will also carry the first T20 institution on March 9 with two farther games back in Dhaka on March 12 and 14.

The three- match T20I series starts on Thursday 9 March at ZACS in Chattogram. The final two matches are on Sunday 12 March and Tuesday 14 March at SBNCS, Dhaka.

The last time the brigades met in 2016, England won the ODI series 2- 1.

The three- match ODI series is part of the Super League, which decides which brigades get direct entry into the 2023 World Cup, but both nations have formerly qualified for the event in India, which gets underway in October.

England will travel to Bangladesh in February ahead of the series and are anticipated to play two practice matches, with opponents yet to be verified.
