Atletico survived a late dread when Pablo Barrios conceded a penalty but the decision was capsized after the adjudicator reviewed the incident with VAR.
“Games against Sevilla are always hard, they were veritably solid in defence,” Simeone told Movistar.

Players observed a moment of silence before the game to pay respect to three Sevilla suckers who failed in the morning in a business accident on the way to Madrid.

Griezmann had a thing ruled out for offside before Simeone took him and strike mate Alvaro Morata out after 66 twinkles to shake up his attack, with Depay and Angel Correa coming on.

The functionary, Jesus Gil Manzano, was called by VAR to review the incident and changed his mind, letting Barrios and Atletico off the hook.
Gil Manzano supposedly decided Barrios touched the ball, although it wasn’t incontinently clear if he did from renewals, and Sevilla players remonstrated with the adjudicator at full time.
